Leasing Associate – Bierbrier Development

Description

Bierbrier Development is seeking a Leasing Associate to join our team. This is a fulltime position working directly with the Vice President of Leasing to assist in the leasing and management of our shopping centers. The candidate will play a critical role in attracting new tenants.

Candidates who qualify for this position will be aggressive and ambitious leaders with commercial retail leasing and sales experience. We’re looking for a coachable, persistent, goal oriented, individual who understands the importance of prospecting and developing tenant relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Vice President Leasing, and the rest of the team, to carryout Bierbrier Development’s mission to lease its centers to viable service and convenience credit tenants.
  • Aggressively and proactively look for new Tenants to fill vacant spaces by cold calling, warm calling, e-blasts, mailings, and in-person canvassing.
  • Assist with incoming leasing inquiries and sourcing/developing leads.
  • Show available spaces to potential tenants.
  • Participate in planning and implementation of direct marketing campaigns.
  • Manage e-blast and digital campaigns to generate new-tenant leads.
  • Participate and represent Bierbrier development in regional ICSC events.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with desirable prospective tenants including national retailers, regional retailers, and selected Mom & Pops.
  • Review industry publications to identify potential national and regional tenants and industry trends.


Requirements:

  • Desire to work in an environment built around a culture of integrity, hard work, collaboration, and Accountability.
  • Four-year college degree preferred.
  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the Greater Boston and Eastern Massachusetts commercial real estate landscape.
  • Familiar with the intricacies of working with commercial tenants and the broker community.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle many moving pieces in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiar with digital marketing, e-blast campaigns, and website basics.
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate deal structures and lease terminology.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office software package (including MS Excel).
  • Highest level of personal integrity.
