This dedicated and responsive team headed by company Founder and President, Len Bierbrier, has the expertise and resources to insure its developments are welcomed by the local community and provide a robust platform for the success of its retail tenants.

Len Bierbrier


Len Bierbrier, President of Bierbrier Development, Inc., founded the company in 1974. Mr. Bierbrier is actively involved in all facets of Bierbrier Development’s shopping center portfolio. He is a member of the New England chapter of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Real Estate Finance Association (REFA) of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board, and the Urban Land Institute. Additionally, Mr. Bierbrier has been an instructor of Real Estate Development at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University. Mr. Bierbrier holds a B.A. and law degree from McGill University and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.



Nikki Palmaccio, Bierbrier Development’s Chief Financial Officer, joined the firm in 2017 with over 15 years of real estate accounting and finance experience. She brings extensive high level financial management experience to the firm, having served as a Controller at both WinnResidential and The Davis Companies and as an Associate at a Boston-based retail shopping center REIT. Mrs. Palmaccio earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Duquesne University and has received a certificate in Real Estate Finance from Boston University.



Brian Callahan oversees marketing and leasing of Bierbrier's portfolio. He brings over 15 years of experience, having previously worked as Regional Manager of Leasing & Dispositions for Ahold/Delahaize, and held other brokerage positions at CBRE and KeyPoint Partners. Brian earned a B.S. in Business Management from Quinnipiac University. He is a member of ICSC, and an active member and fundraiser for the National Brain Tumor Society, Parkinson's Foundation and the Massachusetts Striped Bass Association.



Frank Giso represented Bierbrier Development for 30 years while actively practicing law as a partner at Choate Hall & Stewart. Following retirement from Choate in 2014, Mr. Giso joined Bierbrier Development as Corporate Counsel. Mr. Giso brings wide-ranging transactional experience with a commercial real estate practice focus including entity creation, advice on tax implications and advice and documentation of transaction management issues in the area of real estate. Mr. Giso served as chairman of the Real Estate Department at Choate from 1990 to 2000 and, during his career at Choate, he represented a wide range of clients including national REITs, non-profits, lenders, and developers. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America and is named a Massachusetts Super Lawyer. Mr. Giso received his undergraduate degree in economics, magna cum laude, from Brown University and graduated magna cum laude from Cornell Law School.



Ronald Dattoli, Senior Property Manager at Bierbrier Development, joined the company in 1984. Mr. Dattoli oversees tenant and vendor coordination, tenant construction build-out, maintenance and repairs and overall management of properties in the Bierbrier portfolio. Prior to joining Bierbrier Development, Mr. Dattoli worked as a systems manager for Pfizer. He is a graduate of Aquinas College.



Lori Meade, Real Estate Accountant, joined Bierbrier Development in 2015. Mrs. Meade is responsible for assisting the CFO in General Ledger posting, maintenance and month-end closings, as well as, lease maintenance. Mrs. Meade brings over 20 years of real estate accounting experience to the Bierbrier Development team. Prior to joining Bierbrier Development, she worked as an Accountant at Boyd Smith and Cambridge Street Realty. Mrs. Meade holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration from Boston University.



Riley Merritt, Leasing Manager at Bierbrier Development, joined the company in 2018. Mr. Merritt is responsible for marketing current vacancies, lease negotiations, and working with current and potential tenants expanding in the Boston market. Prior to joining Bierbrier Development, he worked as a business development representative for EnerNOC and Transit Realty Advisors, a local real estate  brokerage and development firm. Mr. Merritt earned his B.S. in Business Marketing from Bentley University.



Sofia Loyack, Assistant to the President/Office Manager joined Bierbrier Development in Spring 2018. Ms. Loyack brings over 15 years of extensive experience in administrative, event and management. She works closely with Mr. Bierbrier and our team to maintain an efficient and organized office environment. Prior to joining Bierbrier Development, Ms. Loyack worked as a Quality Assurance Specialist for Wolverine Worldwide, Sales Support Associate with Cognos/IBM and part of the management team of Elizabeth Grady. Ms. Loyack has also been very active and passionate as a fundraising Chair and Co-Chair for various educational fundraising events. Ms. Loyack is a graduate of Newbury College with a degree in Business Management.
